The Academy of Hawaiian Arts (AHA) aims to foster the development of all Hawaiian cultural arts, with a particular focus on hula. The dance has been essential in keeping Hawaiiana alive in a changing world, encompassing Hawaiian language, history, food, religion, ritual, music, chant and just about every aspect of this cultural lifestyle. AHA will also encourage deeper appreciation for the crafting of Hawaiian cultural items such as lei, tools, hula implements, instruments and garments. www.academyofhawaiianarts.com
